  • Vitamin B2, or riboflavin, was discovered by the biochemist Richard Kuhn, who isolated it in 19332. Vitamin B2 supports the maintenance of the proper condition of the skin and mucous membranes, supports proper vision, and also contributes to the maintenance of proper iron metabolism1.
  • Vitamin B3, also known as niacin or vitamin PP, comes in two basic forms - nicotinic acid and nicotinamide2. Vitamin B3 may contribute to reducing the feeling of fatigue, supports maintaining the proper condition of the skin and mucous membranes, and supports energy metabolism1.
  • Vitamin B5, also called pantothenic acid, is one of the components of coenzyme A and contributes to the proper synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters1,3. Rich dietary sources of vitamin B5 include: mushrooms, liver, cauliflower, soy, eggs and yeast2,3.
  • Vitamin B6, commonly known as pyridoxine, is found in whole grain products, nuts, vegetables and meat, although products of animal origin have better bioavailability of vitamin B64. Pyridoxine supports energy metabolism, as well as glycogen and protein metabolism1. It also helps maintain proper homocysteine metabolism and proper cysteine synthesis1.
  • Folic acid, also called vitamin B9, was first isolated in 1941 from spinach leaves, which is where its name comes from (Latin: folium - leaf)5. Vitamin B9 contributes to the proper metabolism of homocysteine and the synthesis of amino acids, and may also support the functioning of the immune system1.
  • Vitamin B12, commonly referred to as cobalamin, is found mainly in foods of animal origin and in smaller amounts in some fermented vegetables and algae6. Cobalamin supports the proper functioning of energy metabolism and also contributes to proper cell division1. Vitamin B12 absorption takes place in the terminal ileum6.
  • Vitamin C is one of the best-known vitamins with multidirectional effects on the human body. It was first isolated from red peppers in 1928, for which its discoverer received the Nobel Prize8. Vitamin C helps in the proper production of collagen, which supports the functioning of blood vessels, skin, bones, teeth, cartilage and gums1. It also has antioxidant properties - it helps protect cells against oxidative stress1.
  • Vitamin E is classified as a fat-soluble vitamin. Vitamin E is the general name for a group of organic compounds that include tocotrienols and tocopherols9. Vitamin E has an antioxidant effect - it helps protect cells against oxidative stress1.
  • Vitamin A performs a number of important functions in the human body. It contributes to maintaining proper vision, supports proper iron metabolism and the functioning of mucous membranes and skin1. It is classified as a fat-soluble vitamin and is found in significant amounts in liver, fatty fish, milk and dairy products, and eggs10.
  • Vitamin D comes in the form of ergocalciferol (D2) and cholecalciferol (D3). Vitamin D can be synthesized in the skin under the influence of sunlight or supplied to the body with food. It is also available in the form of dietary supplements11. Vitamin D supports the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth, and also supports the proper use of phosphorus and calcium1.
  • Collagen is a widespread protein that constitutes one of the main structural components of the dermis. It is also found in cartilage, tendons and bones. It constitutes about one third of the proteins in the body. The rate of collagen synthesis in the skin changes with age12.
  • Biotin is also known as vitamin B7 or H. It is found in foods such as egg yolk, nuts, liver, legumes, milk, cheese, avocado and fish7. It has many important functions for the body, but is widely known for its effect on the skin and hair1. Additionally, it supports energy metabolism and the nervous system1.
  • Hyaluronic acid is a compound widely distributed in nature and occurs naturally in living organisms16. It is found in the greatest amount in the skin and physiologically occurs in the form of sodium salt - sodium hyaluronate16. Its amount in the body changes with age16. Due to its properties, hyaluronic acid is also a popular ingredient of cosmetics.
  • Coenzyme Q10 is a compound naturally occurring in the human body and under homeostasis conditions it is produced in sufficient quantities18,19. Its main role is to participate in mitochondrial electron transport in the respiratory chain19. It is also called ubiquinone or vitamin Q, although it is currently classified as a vitamin-like substance19.
  • CLA is also known as conjugated linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is classified as an omega-613 fatty acid. Conjugated linoleic acids are isomers of linoleic acid that have double bonds located close to each other14. CLA occurs naturally, among others: in ruminant meat and dairy products.
  • L-carnitine is an organic chemical compound synthesized from amino acids - lysine and methionine - in the liver, kidneys and brain17. It comes in the form of two isomers L and D, but only L-carnitine has biological effects17. In the past, it was called vitamin BT, but now it is classified as a vitamin-like substance. In the human body, it occurs mainly in skeletal and cardiac muscles17.
  • Green tea extract (Camellia sinensis) - an evergreen shrub that naturally occurs in tropical and subtropical climates.
