- Hyaluronic acid. One of the most important properties of hyaluronic acid is the ability to bind large amounts of water. Almost half of its volume in the human body is found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid, in addition to serving as a matrix in which cells are embedded, also acts as a water-binding compound, which in turn affects the volume and compressibility of the skin. That is why the presence of this acid is so important for the proper appearance and functioning of the skin3.
- Collagen in the body. After the age of 25, the human body is unable to ensure balance between the processes of collagen formation and degradation in the body.
