- precursor of melatonin and serotonin - thanks to the appropriate amount of L-tryptophan, it is possible to produce melatonin and serotonin in the body. (1)
- L-tryptophan is an amino acid that is necessary for the proper functioning of the human body. It is an exogenous amino acid, which means that the human body cannot produce this ingredient on its own. It is necessary to supply it with the diet or through appropriate supplementation. (1)
Ingredients: 78% L-tryptophan, capsule shell [glazing agent - hydroxypropylmethylcellulose)], anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids).
The product may contain: milk, soy, cereals containing gluten, fish and peanuts.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INGREDIENTS OF THE ESSENSEY L-TRYPTOPHAN DIETARY SUPPLEMENT:
- The exogenous amino acid L-tryptophan is one of the amino acids necessary for life. It is not produced directly in our body, so it must be supplied with food. The richest food products containing L-tryptophan are high-protein products (both animal and plant). If the diet does not cover the adequate demand for this essential amino acid, its supplementation is necessary. (3)
- Serotonin precursor - thanks to the presence of an appropriate amount of L-tryptophan in the human body, serotonin synthesis is possible. Serotonin is the "happiness hormone" that affects sleep, mood improvement, appetite and cognitive functions. Thanks to serotonin, we are able to feel pleasure and euphoria.(4)
- Melatonin precursor - the substrate for melatonin synthesis is tryptophan, an exogenous aromatic amino acid. Its transformation into melatonin takes place in a 4-step reaction sequence, and one of the intermediate products is serotonin. Melatonin is considered the "hormone of darkness" because it regulates the adaptation to the day and night rhythm. (5)
Essensey L-Tryptophan is intended for adults.
